The weather kept everyone guessing all week long. However, after a clearing thunder storm Friday and a foggy start, Saturday turned out to be a glorious flying day. And pilots from all over S.E. Queensland (and some from much further afield) took full advantage of the sunny, though cool and crisp, autumn conditions.

The aim of the All-In Fly-In was to celebrate and promote recreational aviation irregardless of aircraft type. Through the day we saw Gyroplanes, Aerobatics, Warbirds, Homebuilts, Powered Sailplanes, Recreational and Vintage Aircraft as well as a large contingent of General Aviation types. All in all in excess of 120 aircraft attended the single day fly-in.

Catering was provided by the local community based Brisbane Valley Christian Church who prepared a wide range of tasty burgers, sandwiches and hot drinks.

The Watts Bridge Homebase Groups organized the event and took the opportunity to promote their respective "versions" of aviation activity. The Queensland Ultralight Association sold soft drinks and had videos, a slideshow, picture boards and an "early days ultralight" on static display.   Pilots from the Queensland Chapter of the Australian Aerobatics Club took to the skies on several occasions with thrilling routines

Members from the Queensland Vintage Aeroplane Group and the South East Queensland Gyroplane Club were on hand, as were representatives of the Watts Bridge Management Team to answer questions about the airfield and the homebase groups.

However, when all's said and done fly-ins are about aircraft, pilots and spectators. It's fair to say everyone had a great time and it's a pretty certain bet that the All-In Fly-In will be on again May next year.

Meanwhile enjoy the photographic record of that which was the All-In Fly-In 2010.
