The Queensland Ultralight Association's Poker Run is a regular event on the Watts Calendar which encourages pilots to go for a short fun flight around the neighbouring airfields and then meet back at Watts Bridge for a light lunch, cuppa and chat.

The "Poker Player-2010" is Frank Francis from the Gatton Airpark flying in a new Piper Sports. Nice plane Frank!

All in all 20 pilots/aircraft took part with most aircraft carrying an extra playing passenger.

It was a good social day !!

After the poker run had been played out it was time to move along to the Aerobatics Club Meeting Rooms for the winter social event - Christmas in July.
This event "christened" the new patio extensions to the club rooms which will prove really popular in summer.

Anyway, about 60 guests got down to some serious partying "aviation style". Discussing the day's flying, discussing tomorrow's flying, hey - just discussing flying in general !! But then it was dinner time. As usual Merryn, Tracy, Liz and team excelled themselves by serving up a wonderful three course Christmas Dinner. Simply put, everyone had a great evening and a great weekend.

What more can you ask for?
